EVANSTON, ILL. – UIC's men's tennis team traveled north to take on Big Ten foe, Northwestern Saturday. The Flames were held 4-0 by the Wildcats, who are ranked 13th in the nation.
 
DOUBLES

• Aleksa Bucan and Ammar Wazir earned 6-3 victory over Trice Pickens and Simen Bratholm of Northwestern.
• Miroslav Cvjetan and Artem Iermolov lost their match at the very end by a small margin (7-5).
• Pelle Strandberg and Gustavo Schwebel came up short, 6-3, in their competition.

 
SINGLES

• Before play was stopped, Pelle Standberg was up a set against Ivan Yatsuk of NU (4-6, 3-2).
• Jai Vallurupalli (6-2, 3-2) and Gustavo Schwebel's (6-3, 5-3) matches also went unfinished.

 
The Flames will be back in action this Friday, March 3 as they take on IUPUI in Indianapolis, Ind. First serve from the West Indy Racquet Club is set for 12:00 p.m.
