  • A leadoff single from Jackson Bessette in the second inning, a walk from Cole Conn, and a fielder's choice off the bat of Zane Zielinski brought home another run, running the score to 2-0.
  • The Boilermakers responded in the bottom of the third inning, scoring three runs with two separate RBI singles, putting Purdue on top 3-2.
  • Jake Jarvis added a solo home run to right center field in the sixth inning, doubling the Purdue advantage to 4-2.
