THIBODAUX, La. – UIC's men's tennis (7-11, 2-1 Southland) return home from a two-match road trip in Louisiana with a win. The Flames fell to New Orleans, the defending Southland Conference champs on Tuesday. They bounced back to defeat Nicholls State on Wednesday.
It was the first time UIC competed against both teams, but the Flames knew the matchup against the Privateers (9-5, 2-0) would be a tough one. The Flames fell short against the top team in the conference, with a final score of 6-1.
Aleksa Bucan represented UIC well, beating Karim Al-Amin of UNO 6-2, 6-3 at singles number two.
