Softball Falls Short in Extras Against Bradley

Alannah Cran Leads Flames Offense with a Three-Hit Game

CHICAGO-  The UIC softball team opened a three-game series against Bradley on Friday, as the Flames dropped the series-opener in extra innings 5-4.

  • Sophomore Larissa Ortiz landed a ball in the gap to score Grace Fleming from first to get the Flames on the board first.

  • Larissa Villa earned her first RBI of her junior campaign when she scored sophomore Jojo Santiago.

  • Following Villa's RBI, Tess Altevers Harris hit a shallow fly ball down the right field line, that would turn into an inside the park home run, scoring Villa on the play.

  • Time in the circle was split evenly between Senior Christina Toniolo and junior Miranda Gomez. They each threw four innings, striking out one and walking one batter a piece.
