Flames Honored Three Seniors Before First Pitch

CHICAGO – The UIC softball team came up short in its series finale against Bradley on a rainy Sunday afternoon, 4-1.

"Senior Day was very special to all of us. We felt so much love from our teammates, our coaches, our parents and everyone helping out. We felt very loved and supported throughout this whole day."

  • Walker earned her lone hit in the game in the bottom of the sixth with a line shot to center field for a single.

  • Senior Alannah Cran led the offense with two hits in the game, first with a single in the fifth inning and a double midway through the bottom of the seventh.

  • In her eighth start in the circle, junior Miranda Gomez threw 5.1 innings for the Flames, striking out three and not walking a single batter.

  • Senior Christina Toniolo finished the game in relief, pitching 1.2 innings and only allowing two hits.
