Saltsjöbaden, Sweden – UIC golfer Dasa Urbankova earned her second mid-amateur win of the summer this past weekend, winning the 25+ division of the Swedish International Ladies Mid-Amateur Championship.

The graduate student finished the three-day event at Saltsjöbaden's golf course with a score of five-over-par. Urbankova sealed her victory by winning a two-hole playoff in the final round on Sunday.

"I've been working hard over the summer and I'm happy to see that my game is trending in the right direction," Urbankova said. "I'm excited to see how the rest of the season is going to look like and I can't wait to compete again as a Flame!"

This marks Urbankova's second win of the summer, following her victory in the international mid-amateur hosted by her home country, Czech Republic back on June 3.

Urbankova made a remarkable start to her first season with the Flames, setting a program record by shooting three-under-par at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in September 2022. Her performance earned her the UIC record for the lowest round and lowest round versus par at an event.

Additionally, she garnered recognition as the four-time Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week and secured a sixth-place finish at the 2023 MVC Women's Golf Championship in April 2023. Urbankova's accomplishments led to her selection as a member of the All-Conference, All-Tournament and Scholar-Athlete First Team by the MVC.

Urbankova is scheduled to return to UIC in the fall to compete as she continues her studies in pursuit of a master's degree in Kinesiology.
