CHICAGO (Dec. 13, 2024) – The UIC women's basketball team (2-5) couldn't spark any second half offensive momentum, falling to DePaul (4-7) at Wintrust Arena Friday night, 73-56
Graduate student
Keimari Rimmer (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East/DePaul) scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds coming off the bench. Seniors
Makiyah Williams (Chicago, Ill./ Trinity/ Marquette) and
Arin Freeman (Little Rock, Ark./North Little Rock/Coastal Carolina) also scored 11 points apiece.

COMMENT FROM HEAD COACH ASHLEEN BRACEY
"I'm disappointed and I think we are way better than we are playing. We went into the halftime with a tie game, I thought we should be up eight. I thought we left some stuff out there. I'm just disappointed in the way we allowed things to unravel. We have to get back to work and figure out what we should fix. I know a big thing is that we allowed the player (Jorie Allen) that carries the weight for them probably a career night with 27 points. We just have to go back to the drawing board, figure some stuff out and we will be better for it."
