FLAMES FACTS
- UIC enters the weekend after a 10-7 victory over Milwaukee Tuesday night at Curtis Granderson Stadium, the Flames' second consecutive victory dating back to earning a series victory over Ohio in the finale Sunday afternoon in Athens.
- Offense has been crucial to the Flames' success this season, as UIC is 7-3 in games in which it scores four or more runs. Conversely, the Flames are 0-2 in games in which they score three or less.
- James Harris (Chiacgo, Ill./Gwendolyn Brooks) catapulted himself into a tie for the team RBI lead (14) on Tuesday night, as his five runs batted in included a triple to drive in two in the second inning.
Â
Â
- Zane Zielinski (Chicago, Ill./Northeast CC) represents the other half of the tie for the team lead in RBI (14), as the senior had a strong night of his own at the plate Tuesday, going three for four and knocking in a pair of runs himself.
- Redshirt junior right-hander Reece Lawler (Gurnee, Ill./Iowa) earned his second save of the season Tuesday night and leads the Flames in that category. Lawler pitched an inning and 1/3, striking out one and not allowing a Panther hit.
- Dillon Schueler (Rock Falls, Ill./Sauk Valley CC) is scheduled to start the series opener Friday night for the Flames, and currently holds a tie for the team lead with two wins on the year, with a stellar 1.80 earned run average.

SCOUTING THE TOMMIES
- St. Thomas makes its first-ever trip to Curtis Granderson Stadium this weekend, as the Tommies enter play with a 5-7 overall record this season.
- After a 1-3 start to the season on their trip to Florida, which included splitting two games against Illinois State, the Tommies have returned to the Midwest and have struggled as of late, losing four of their last five games. Most recently, St. Thomas was defeated 9-3 by Iowa on Tuesday night in Iowa City.
- Overall offense is a strength for St. Thomas, as it has tallied 10 or more runs in five different games this season. The Tommies boast three batters who are hitting over .400 this year, and all three sit atop the Summit League standings in that category.
