CLEVELAND (April 25, 2024) – The Mid-American Conference named UIC men's tennis senior Randy Wilson (Miami, Fla./Florida Gulf Coast) to its All-MAC Second Team Thursday afternoon.

Wilson is the first UIC men's tennis student-athlete in program history to be named to an All-MAC team. The 2023-24 season marked UIC's first as an affiliate member of the Mid-American Conference.

"Randy had a great season playing at the top of the lineup for us," said head coach Jovan Parlic. "It's never an easy job player the best players week in and week out. I'm grateful that he was a part of this program and that he gave his all until the every end. We want to congratulate Randy on this accomplishment."

Competing solely at the No. 1 singles position, the senior finished the 2024 season with a 9-11 record, and a 3-6 record in conference play. In doubles action, Wilson went 7-8 competing primarily at the No. 1 doubles spot. His three conference singles victories were tied for the second-most on UIC. For his efforts against Buffalo and Toledo in March, the MAC named Wilson its Singles Player of the Week.

Wilson and the Flames finished their inaugural season in the MAC at 10-11 and a 2-8 record in conference play. The program won six matches at home in 2024, its most since the 2010 season.
