NORMAL, Ill. (May 11, 2024) – UIC senior infielder
Larisa Villa (La Habra, Calif./La Habra) was named to the Missouri Valley Conference Softball All-Tournament Team, the conference announced Saturday afternoon following the conclusion of the MVC Tournament.
"Finding out I was selected to the All-Tournament Team was super exciting," Villa said. "Being surrounded by people who support you in everything and celebrate things like this is such an incredible experience. It's an honor to be recognized alongside such talented student athletes."
Villa was a tough out in UIC's first-round tournament loss against Murray State on Wednesday at Illinois State's Marian Kneer Stadium. The senior went 3-for-4 with three singles and a run scored.
