CHICAGOÂ
(Jan. 17, 2025) – The UIC women's basketball program (4-10, 1-4 MVC) returned home to Credit Union 1 Arena Friday evening, as it welcomed Bradley (8-8, 2-3 MVC) to Chicago for a primetime showdown. Despite a slow start in the first quarter, the Flames kept it close the entirety of the first half, holding the Braves to two points in the second quarter, and carrying a five-point advantage to the halftime locker room. Both teams came out of the locker room firing offensively, combining for just two fewer points in the third quarter than the entire first half. The Braves made a run early in the fourth quarter, and the two sides went back and forth right down to the wire, with the Flames ultimately coming out on top by a final score of 52-49 thanks in part to two clutch free throws from
Keimari Rimmer (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East) with 2.8 seconds remaining in the game.
