CHICAGO (Jan. 22, 2025) – The UIC women's tennis team is set to begin its highly anticipated 2025 season this weekend with two exciting home matches at XS Tennis Village. The Flames will open their campaign against Marquette on Friday, Jan. 24, at 10:00 AM, followed by a crosstown showdown with DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3:30 PM.

After a strong fall season that featured impressive performances from both returning players and newcomers, the Flames are eager to showcase their hard work in front of a home crowd. With a deep and talented roster, UIC is ready to take on two competitive opponents and set the tone for a successful spring season.

Senior Camille Belberka returns as a Key player for the Flames after an impressive 2024 season. She led UIC with 13 singles victories and finished with 16 doubles wins, ending the year on a seven-match singles win streak and a 14-match doubles win streak. Belberka's consistency and experience will be key as UIC takes on strong opponents to open the season.

UIC will look to build momentum against Marquette, a formidable opponent with a history of strong play, before taking on DePaul in a battle for city bragging rights.
