CHICAGO– The UIC women's tennis team is staying local, competing in the 2025 Chicago Cup, hosted by fellow Chicagoland Neighbor, the University of Chicago. The Flames will face UChicago and Holy Cross on both Saturday and Sunday. This cup makes way for ITA Midwest Regionals that are a few weeks away in Mid October.
Last Time Out- Redbird Invitational
UIC had an outstanding showing at the Redbird Invitational this past weekend, hosted by Illinois State. In singles play, freshman Joanne Hartono made a statement in her collegiate debut, capturing the Flight 7 singles title. On the doubles side, sophomores Edit Cosmo and Dongke Liu battled through a tough draw to earn third place in Flight 1 doubles. It was a promising weekend and a strong start to the fall season for the Flames.
