MUNCIE, Ind. – Redshirt Sophomore
Julia Coleman knocked down a go-ahead lay-up with 11.3 seconds remaining as UIC (3-3, 0-0 MVC) handed previously unbeaten Ball State (5-1, 0-0 MAC) its first loss of the season, 66-64, on Monday night.
Coleman finished with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals. Sophomore
Tutu Clayton added 16 points, including four 3-pointers, while sophomore
Samantha Serrano posted 12 points, four rebounds and two steals.

- UIC tied its season high in team steals, collecting 10 against the Cardinals in 40 minutes of play.
- The win marked UIC's first victory over Ball State since December 1999.
