PALM COAST, Fla. (March 14, 2025) – The UIC golf team took on The Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Resort and Spa 18-hole, 5,995 Par 72 golf course over the past two days for its second event in Florida of the week, finishing third out of the seven teams competing in Purdue Fort Wayne's Hammock Beach Invitational. Over the two-day event, the team shot 41-over-par.
The Flames were led by freshman
Alejandra Ereño (Madrid, Spain/ Colegio Nuestra Senora del Recuerdo), who finished tied for sixth (+8). Joining
Ereño in the top ten were junior
Chaewon Jeong (Seoul, South Korea/ Laurel Springs School) who finished tied for eighth (+9) and fellow freshman
Camille Rosier (Paris, France/Lycee International C. De Gaulle), who finished tied for 10th (+10).

- The team collectively shot 17 birdies across the 36 holes of play and led the event in total pars with 106.
- Ereño's sixth place finish marks her second time finishing in the top ten in her young career.
- Junior Ellie McDonald (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) collected the lone eagle for the Flames in the event.
