Diving Prepares for More Postseason Action

Four Flames met Zone Qualifications throughout the season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Mar. 8, 2025) – The UIC Diving program will be represented by four of its members at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Columbus, Ohio this Sunday, Mar. 9 - Wednesday, Mar. 12. The divers will look to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

QUALIFICATION STANDARD
To become NCAA Zone qualified for the one-meter event, a diver must achieve a score above 300 points for men and 265 points for women. For the three-meter event a diver must achieve a score above 320 points for men and 280 points for women. For the platform event a diver must achieve a score of 300 points for the men.
 
FLAMES COMPETING
One-Meter
  • Harrison Nolan (Riverside, Ill./Riverside Brookfield/Kentucky) became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Ball State on Oct. 12, 2024. Nolan achieved his season high score in the one-meter on Jan. 18 with a score of 388.13.
  • Cole Tremewan (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Ball State on Oct. 12, 2024. Tremewan achieved his season high score in the one-meter on Jan. 18 with a score of 371.03.
  • Christian Curtis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood Flossmoor) became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Ball State on Oct. 12, 2024. Curtis achieved his season high score in the one-meter on Feb. 8 with a score of 311.95.
  • Kerry-Leigh Morrison (Gauteng, South Africa/St. Mary's School) became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Chicago on Jan. 18, 2025. Morrison achieved her season high score in the one-meter on Jan. 18 with a score of 272.48 points.
Three-Meter
  • Nolan became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Ball State on Oct. 12, 2024. Nolan achieved his season high score in the three-meter on Jan. 24 with a score of 417.90.
  • Tremewan became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Ball State on Oct. 12, 2024. Tremewan achieved his season high score in the three-meter on Jan. 18 with a score of 373.35.
  • Curtis became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against SIU on Oct. 26, 2024. Curtis achieved his season high score in the three-meter on Jan. 24 with a score of 336.15.
  • Morrison became NCAA Zone qualified in a meet against Chicago on Jan. 18, 2025. Morrison achieved her season high score in the three-meter on Jan. 24 with a score of 307.43 points.
Platform
  • Nolan became NCAA Zone qualified on Nov. 21, 2024.
  • Tremewan became NCAA Zone qualified on Feb. 19, 2024.
  • Nolan was the first Flames to qualify for zones in the platform event.
 
ORDER OF EVENTS
  • Monday - Men's one-meter, women's three-meter diving event.
  • Tuesday - Men's three-meter, women's one-meter diving event.
  • Wednesday - Men's platform event.
