After a scoreless start through four innings, the Bulldogs got on the board and led the rest of the way in game one, defeating the Flames 4-0. Then, in game two, the Flames opened action early with a two-run inning. A five-run inning gave the Bulldogs the lead in the third before the Flames tied the game at 5-5 in the sixth. The tie didn't last long, though, before the Bulldogs (20-25, 11-10 MVC) went back on top and ultimately took game two 7-5 over the Flames (8-28, 4-16 MVC)

GAME TWO RECAP
Unlike in game one, the Flames got action going early in game two, with a two-run inning. Rios got the action going with a lead-off single before advancing to third on a Cowing double to right center field. With both runners in scoring position, the Flames plated both due to an error on the Bulldogs' defense during Emma Gumont's at-bat, giving the Flames an early 2-0 lead. Third inning action saw the game turn in favor of the home team as the Bulldogs put up a five-run inning, taking a 5-2 lead over the Flames. The Flames took a run back in the top of the fourth when Siena Stickney scored an unearned run off a Bulldog error. In the top of the fifth, the Flames tied up the ballgame with a two-run inning. After Stickney was walked, Jojo Santiago doubled to centerfield, placing both runners in scoring position. Stickney scored first off, a Grace Fleming RBI ground out, before Santiago scored on a Brianna Motto sac-fly, tying the game at 5-5. The tie didn't last long, as the Bulldogs quickly jumped back ahead in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run home run, taking a 7-5 lead. The Flames would get a runner in scoring position and have the tying run at the plate, but the Bulldogs were able to turn over a double play, ending the game as the Flames fell to the Bulldogs 7-5 in game two.
