FLAMES FACTS

• UIC comes into Friday's game well-rested, as the Flames had Thursday off due to schedule changes by the Missouri Valley Conference. The Flames come in with a 1-0 record in the tournament after emerging from Wednesday afternoon's marathon slugfest victorious by a 19-17 final score.
• The Flames and Bears met for a three-game series April 18-19 in Chicago, with UIC taking two of three from the previously first place Bears.
• Luke Nowak helped propel the Flames to victory in game one of the MVC tournament, going five for six from the plate and scoring five runs of his own.

• UIC was well represented in the post-season Missouri Valley Conference Awards, with three players earning various honors.
