CHICAGO – The Missouri Valley Conference announced its weekly volleyball honors Monday afternoon, awarding senior
Julieta Sandez Player of the Week honors after a stand-out weekend in the Chicago Cup.
The Most Valuable Player of the Chicago Cup recorded 27 kills over the weekend, including a collegiate-high 15 kills in the thrilling five-set victory over Loyola (3-9, 0-0 A-10) Saturday night. She also posted a dozen blocks across nine sets, averaging 1.33 blocks per set across both matches.
Sandez's accuracy on the attack continues to shine. She posted a .634 hitting percentage over the weekend and ranks among the nation's best this season with a .531 hitting percentage.
