MOREHEAD, Ky. – The UIC volleyball team (0-3) are back on the volleyball court this weekend, traveling to the Bluegrass State to partake in Morehead State's Comfort Inn-Vitational. The two-day tournament at the Johnson Arena is set to begin Friday, Sept. 5.

SCOUTING RADFORD (1-2)
- This will be the first meeting between Radford and UIC.
- The Highlanders are coming off a 1-2 showing to begin the season at their home invitational last weekend, with their lone victory coming against UMKC, 3-1. Senior Sierra Moore leading the attack with a dozen kills and three service aces.
SCOUTING MOREHEAD STATE (1-2)
- The Eagles and the Flames will meet for the first time against each over the weekend.
- Morehead State traveled last weekend to compete in Louisville's Cardinal Classic, going 1-2. The Eagles' lone win came against St. John's on Friday in a three-set sweep. Senior middle blocker M.E. Hargan led the way for the Eagles in the win, with 16 kills and 13 digs.
SCOUTING TOLEDO (3-0)
- This will be the third time and the first time since 1990 both programs will battle it out on the volleyball court. The Flames won both previous meetings.
- The Rockets started the 2025 season strong last weekend, going 3-0 in their home invitational. Sophomore Olivia Heitkamp and redshirt-sophomore Sierra Pertzborn led the Rockets' attack; each recorded 28 kills throughout the weekend.
LAST WEEKEND RECAP – UNF's SUNSHINE TOURNAMENT
- The Flames couldn't find the success they were looking for on the volleyball court, falling short in three consecutive matches, including back-to-back five-set thrillers against Georgia Southern and UNF to close out the weekend.
- Senior Julieta Sandez earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after tallying 18 kills and 13 total blocks across the weekend.
- Senior Beatrice Carulli and junior Tamara Kisic led the Flames' attack throughout the three matches; each recorded 26 kills.
- In her lone showing against UNF on Sunday, freshman Ana Petrides made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, tallying 12 kills and eight total blocks against the Ospreys.
UIC students, staff and youths in eighth grade and under are admitted to all home volleyball matches free of charge, while adults and youths in ninth grade and above can purchase tickets for $5 each at the gate three entrance of Credit Union 1 Arena on match night. In addition, fans can buy the new Flames Fast Pass, a one-time $50 purchase that will provide the bearer with access to all UIC home athletics events (except men's and women's basketball) during the 2025-26 academic year.
