MURRAY, Ky. – The UIC women's basketball team (11-14, 6-8 MVC) erased an 18-point deficit to tie the game at 77-77 with 24 seconds left, but Murray State (22-3, 13-1 MVC) sealed the win at the free-throw line in the final seconds of a Missouri Valley Conference clash Sunday at CFSB Center.
Senior
Jessica Carrothers led the way with 21 points, three rebounds and three steals. Senior
Amelia Strong added 20 points and nine rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench, while redshirt sophomore
Julia Coleman chipped in 17 points, seven boards and two steals.
