SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The UIC baseball team (1-3, 0-0 MVC) went toe-to-toe against 2025 NCAA Regional participant UTSA (4-0, 0-0 AAC), falling short to the Roadrunners 10-3 Tuesday evening in the Lone Star state.
The Flames were the first to get on the board in the top of the first when junior
Thomas Curry crushed a ball off the wall, later scoring a few pitches later on a wild pitch. After the Roadrunners scored four unanswered, UIC cut into the deficit in the sixth as junior
Jake Busson launched a 1-1 pitch over the left-field wall for his second home run of the season. The Roadrunners responded with six of their own in the bottom half in the inning, that an RBI single from junior
Lucas Smith in the ninth provided a late spark, but it was not enough as UTSA secured the win.
