Women’s Basketball Defeats Bradley in Front of Record-Breaking Home Crowd

4,845 fans breaks largest standalone crowd in program history as the Flames defeat the Braves, 66-53.

CHICAGO – In front of a record-breaking Education Day crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena, the UIC Women's basketball team (14-14, 9-8 MVC) defeated Bradley (19-10, 12-6 MVC) 66-53 in Missouri Valley Conference midweek action. The 4,845 fans topped the record for largest standalone crowd in program history.

Senior Jessica Carrothers led all scorers with 18 points, six assists and four rebounds. Sophomore TuTu Clayton scored 13 points, sinking three three-pointers. Collecting another double-double was redshirt sophomore Julia Coleman, scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

  • Carrothers has led UIC in scoring across 13 games this season.
  • After three triples in the win, Clayton ranks second on the team this year with 31 made three-pointers in the season.
  • Coleman leads UIC with seven double-doubles on the season.
  •  After sinking a pair of three-pointers in the corner in the middle of the third quarter, graduate student Sara Zabrecky ranks eighth in made three-pointers in program history at 129.
  • The largest standalone crowd in program was previously set against LSU a season ago, when 4,322 fans were in attendance on Dec. 19, 2024.
