CHICAGO - With persistent precipitation in the Evanston, Ill., area, the UIC softball team's nonconference game against Northwestern has been cancelled due to field conditions. The Flames and Wildcats will not make up the contest.

UIC will now prepare for a three-game Horizon League series against Valpo at the VU Softball Field in Valparaiso, Ind. The series opener is set for Friday at 3 p.m. CT, with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
