UIC (16-14, 6-10 HL) jumped out to an 8-1 record in the 2014-15 season, which is the program's best nine-game start in the Division-I era (1981-present). Regina Miller won her 300th game with a 75-60 victory on Jan. 17, 2015 at Oakland.
UIC ranked 13th nationally in rebounding margin (+9.0) and fourth in offensive rebounds per game (17.4). On defense, the Flames ranked 40th nationally in steals (10.1 spg) and 66th in scoring defense (59.5 ppg).
Ruvanna Campbell and Terri Bender earned All-League recognition for the second straight season. Campbell took home her second straight Defensive Player of the Year award. Additionally, Campbell was named to the All-League First Team and the All-Defensive Team. Bender was voted to the All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive season.
