CHICAGO- The UIC swimming and diving program held their annual awards banquet at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza on Sunday. The banquet honored the hard work and dedication of the swimmers and divers throughout the 2015-16 season.
Additionally, the coaching staff named Claire Haggerty, Erin Sivak, Nicholas Kowaleski, Tanner Alms, and Tyler Pastore as captains for next season.
Junior Erin Sivak and senior Ryota Kuwahara earned the Sam Kooistra Scholarship Award while the Bill Mulliken Scholarship Award was awarded to junior Nicholas Kowaleski and sophomore Katy Knight.
The senior class was recognized for their contributions during their tenure with the Flames including: Ramiro Almaraz, Brayden Amendola, Mark Ciesielski, Peter Errichiello, Veronica Gibson, Christian Grobe, Katherine Hare, Kei Ishimaru, Ryota Kuwahara, Jocelyn Langballe, Shaun Seuschek, Danel Voorhees, and Rodolfo Zuniga.

Record Breaker Awards:
- Brianna Hines - UIC Records in 1650 Freestyle (16:34.75), 1000 Freestyle (10:03.49), 500 Freestyle (4:49.56), 400 IM (4:22.78). Horizon League record holder in 1650 Freestyle (16:34.75).
- Lexie Joy - UIC Record in 200 IM (2:02.52).
- Rachel Criscione- UIC Record 3-Meter Diving (316.88).
