CHICAGO -- UIC will make a short trip across town on Sunday afternoon to meet the Chicago State Cougars for the second time in a four-day span. First pitch Sunday is slated for 1 p.m. CT at
CSU's Cougar Stadium.
The Flames (6-6) captured the first game in the series, 8-0, on Thursday afternoon at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
Bowen Ogata collected three hits, while
Ricardo Ramirez hit his fourth home run of the season and
Rob Calabrese launched his second to lead the offense. On the mound
Jake Dahlberg and three relievers combined for a two-hit shutout. Dahlberg tossed six scoreless innings with six strikeouts to notch his first win of the young season. For a full recap of Thursday's UIC victory,
