CHICAGO – The UIC softball program has added a pair of Flames to its roster for next season with the addition of Gianna Richy and Tess Altevers Harris during the national signing period which began on Thursday, Nov. 11.

In Richy, the Flames will have a power-hitting bat from the left side of the dish and a proven winner that guided her team to an Illinois High School Association state championship in the spring. UIC adds the dangerous element of speed on the base paths in Altevers Harris, and a knack for getting on base and making good things happen. Both decorated players have not only been on competitive high school teams, but participated on strong travel ball teams as well.
