CHICAGO – UIC Athletics and the Flames Athletic Fund is excited to announce the first-ever Virtual Scholarship Golf Classic May 15 through May 29.

Individuals and teams of up to four golfers can play one 18-hole round at a course of their choosing. A traditional scramble format will be used to determine the team's score. The cost to register for the event will be $50 per participant, however, golfers will be responsible for paying the appropriate greens fees at whichever course they choose. Prizes will be distributed to the top three finishing teams and teams can report their score to Alumni Relations Director Logan Grenley at lgrenley@uic.edu. To register, please visit this link.

Throughout your round, there will be opportunities to earn stroke reductions and additional prizes.

Games/Contests

• Support a Student-Athlete: Each golfer will have the option to pay an additional one dollar per hole ($18) at the time of registration
• Mulligans: Up to five mulligans can be purchased for $5 each at the time of registration
• Farthest Drive: Win a prize as the participant who registers at an address the farthest away from UIC's campus
• Worst Shot/Lie: Post a photo of the worst lie on Twitter or Facebook and tag @UICFlames. The winner will receive a prize.
• Closest to the Pin: Post a photo of your tee shot on a par three and tag @UICFlames on Twitter or Facebook. The winner will receive a prize.
• 312 Challenge: Add up your scores on holes #3 and #12 and the lowest score wins a prize
• Chicago Scavenger Hunt: Share a photo that reminds you of Chicago and the most creative wins a prize. Tag @UICFlames on Twitter or Facebook to enter.
• UIC on the Tee: Share a photo of you wearing UIC gear on a tee box and tag @UICFlames on Twitter or Facebook. Do that and you earn a free mulligan. Each team can earn up-to one mulligan per participant via this promotion.
