CHICAGO -- The UIC baseball team returns to Granderson Stadium this Friday-Sunday for a three-game series against Oakland. Horizon League action will begin at 4:05 p.m. before continuing with 2:05 and 1:05 starts on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

FIRST PITCH
• UIC has excelled at laying down the sacrifice bunts, ranking first in the Horizon League and ninth nationally with 21 on the season.
• Nate Peterson became the third pitcher in UIC history to have two games with 11 or more strikeouts in the same season when he struck out 11 in the Flames' win over Valparaiso.

FLAMES STUN NO. 16 BOILERMAKERES

• The Flames scored three runs in the seventh, four in the eighth and added three more in the ninth to complete the comeback.
• UIC excelled under pressure, as nine of the 10 runs scored in the comeback came with two outs in the inning.
• The win marked UIC's first win over a ranked opponent since winning 2-of-3 at then No. 7 Vanderbilt Feb. 24-26, 2017.

SMALL BALL
• UIC is one of the best teams in the Horizon League in manufacturing runs, as the Flames rank atop the League in sacrifice bunts and second in sacrifice flies.
• The Flames have recorded 21 sac bunts this year, ninth-most in Division I baseball, and have driven home nine players via the sac fly.
• Breck Nowik and Clay Conn share the team lead with five sacrifice bunts this year to rank 30th nationally.

ON A STREAK
• Bryan Rosario has been a consistent presence in the Flames' lineup this year, as he is one of two Flames to have started in all 22 contests this year. Rosario leads the team in batting average (.345), hits (29), doubles (7), RBI (13), slugging percentage (.524) and on-base percentage (.444).
• Rosario reached base safely in the first nine games of the year, which was the longest streak on the team through the first four weekends of action.
• Ryan Nagelbach and Rayth Petersen now share the team lead for the longest active on-base streak, having safely reached base in each of the last 17 games. Rosario currently on a 10-game hitting streak, the longest streak on the team this season
