Keimari Rimmer Commits to UIC Women’s Basketball For the 2023-2024 Season

Rimmer Comes Over After Four Years at DePaul

CHICAGO – UIC head coach Ashleen Bracey announced her first signee of the 2023-2024 season in Keimari Rimmer. Rimmer, who spent her first four seasons at DePaul University will be joining the program as a graduate transfer with two remaining years of eligibility.  

"We are very excited to add Chicago-native, Keimari Rimmer to our basketball family," head coach Ashleen Bracey said. "Keimari brings 4 years of high-level collegiate experience and is a natural leader. She is a dynamic forward that has the skillset to play inside and out. Keke is an explosive athlete that will elevate our ability to defend and rebound. She is committed to do what it takes to compete for championships and will strive to push the vision of our UIC women's basketball program forward."

In her four years with the Blue Demons, Rimmer played in 57 career games, starting in six of them.  

Rimmer hit double-figures over nine games her senior season. Her biggest game came against Marquette on Feb. 27 when she scored 21 points. Rimmer also had four double doubles this season, including a 13-point, 12 rebound performance in a 76-67 win over Maryland on Nov. 25, 2022.  

A Maywood native, Rimmer was a multi-dimensional threat who averaged 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals her senior year. She was also a member of the Chicago Hoops Express on the AAU level.
