SCOUTING INDIANA STATE
  • This will be the 20th time the Flames and Sycamores are set to compete on the court. The Sycamores hold a 13-6 overall series lead, but the Flames have won in the past three meetings, holding a 3-1 record over the Sycamores since joining the MVC.
  • In their last meeting, UIC secured a 68-53 victory in front of the home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena on Feb. 11, 2024. Senior Danyel Middleton (Chicago, Ill./Bolingbrook/Marquette) led the Flames in scoring with 18 points and six rebounds. Graduate student Keimari Rimmer (Chicago, Ill./Proviso East/DePaul) scored 16 points and led the team in rebounds with eight.

  • In her third season with the Sycamores, junior Bella Finnegan leads Indiana State in scoring, averaging 13 points per game.

  • The Flames opened up the two-game road trip victorious Thursday night, collecting a 74-45 victory over Evansville (5-15, 1-8 MVC) at Meeks Family Field House.
  • The 29-point victory was the largest winning margin for UIC since it had joined the Missouri Valley Conference in the summer of 2022.
  • The Flames were led in scoring by senior Makiyah Williams (Chicago, Ill./Trinity/Marquette) with 19 points, four assists and three rebounds.
  • Key contributors coming off the bench were seniors Ky Dempsey-Toney (Franklin, N.J./Franklin) and Krystyna Ellew (Chicago, Ill./Taft/Wisconsin) each contributed nine points in the win.
