COLUMBUS, OHIO – The UIC women's tennis team (17-4) is heading to the 2025 NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship tournament in the Columbus, Ohio Regional to face off against Notre Dame (20-5) entering the weekend. They are slated to face off this Friday, May 2nd at 9 a.m. (CT).
The winner between the Flames and the Fighting Irish will move on to the second round to face off against No. 9 Ohio State (21-3) or Buffalo (20-7).
The Flames are coming off of a historic 17-4 campaign, winning the first
Missouri Valley Conference Team Championship for UIC since joining the MVC in 2022. This is the 20th total conference championship for the women's tennis program.
The Flames claimed the conference title in dominating fashion with a 4-0 victory over the top-seeded Murray State Racers in the championship match this past weekend. The conference championship earned the Flames an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship tournament.
