CHICAGO – Former UIC women's basketball player
Danyel Middleton has a signed a professional contract to compete
for Club Deportivo Omega based out in Concepción, Chile.
Club Deportivo Omega is a member of the Lige Nacional Femenina 2 (LNF 2), which is the second division of professional women's basketball in the country. Found in 2019, the team is preparing for its sixth season.

. "She has worked tirelessly to put herself in a position to play professionally. Danyel's best basketball is ahead of her and I am looking forward to watching her continue to grow and impact the game at the next level."
Middleton appeared in 97 games during her UIC career, making 66 starts. She averaged 8.2 points per game with the Flames, and totaled 104 steals, 146 assists and 263 rebounds.
She collected double figures across 37 games with UIC, highlighted by a collegiate-high 24 points in front of a home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena against Missouri Valley Conference foe Drake on Jan. 14, 2024.
Middleton becomes the third former player under Bracey to sign a professional contract, joining
Dais' Ja Trotter and
Ky Dempsey-Toney.
