CHICAGO – Following three games on the road, the UIC women's basketball team (9-10, 4-4 MVC) returned home to Credit Union 1 Arena, where they recorded a 76-64 victory over the Illinois State Redbirds (10-9, 4-4) in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play.
Sophomore Tutu Clayton had herself a career night for the Flames, scoring a career high of 20 points, along with a career high of five three pointers made. All five of Clayton's threes came in the third quarter, helping the Flames build a lead over the Redbirds. Senior
Jessica Carrothers and redshirt sophomore
Julia Coleman followed closely behind with 14 points each. Carrothers was 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
