CHICAGO – The UIC women's basketball team (10-11, 5-5 MVC) led from start to finish in a 76–57 Missouri Valley Conference victory over Valparaiso (0-22, 0-11 MVC) on Sunday afternoon at Credit Union 1 Arena.
Redshirt sophomore
Julia Coleman collected a double-double, leading all scorers with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore
TuTu Clayton scored 13 points and dished out six assists. Junior
Megen Sanaj had a career game, scoring a dozen points and grabbing five rebounds.

- This was Coleman's third double-double of the season, and her first since her 16-point, 11-rebound performance in the 66-48 win at Evansville (5-16, 3-7 MVC) on Jan. 16.
- Sanaj hit career-high in points (12), three-pointers made (three), rebounds (5) and minutes played (22) in the win.
- After scoring 12 points in the win, senior Jessica Carrothers is 17 points away from reaching 2,000 career points on both the NCAA and NAIA levels.
- Clayton has reached double figures in five of her past six games played.
