NORMAL, Ill. – The UIC women's basketball team (7-9, 2-3 MVC) found itself in another midweek Missouri Valley Conference battle, falling short to Illinois State (8-8, 2-3 MVC) Thursday night at the CEFCU arena, 75-61.
Senior
Jessica Carrothers led all scorers with 20 points, six rebounds and a pair of assists. Redshirt-sophomore
Julia Coleman finished with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals. Sophomore
TuTu Clayton scored 11 points and stole the ball twice in 27 minutes on the floor.

- This was Clayton's seventh game in double figures this season, and her ninth in her collegiate career at UIC.
- Averaging 18.2 points per game, Carrothers ranks third in the entire MVC. She has hit double figures in all but one game she's played in this year.
- The Flames collectively shot 54% (27-for-50) in the game, the second-highest mark this season.
- UIC also had a season-high 11 steals in the game, surpassing 10-steal performance against Robert Morris (Nov. 3) and Ball State (Nov. 24).
