Champaign, Ill. – Hitting the road for their fourth contest of the season, the UIC women's soccer team turns its focus towards the Fighting Illini of Illinois. The non-conference match is set to kick off at 5 p.m. at Demirjian Park in Champaign, Ill.

HISTORY vs ILLINOIS
Sunday's contest marks the second all-time meeting between the Flames and the Fighting Illini. UIC and Illinois last met in the 2025 season opener on Flames Field, where the visiting Illini went home with a 1-0 victory over the Flames. 

A goal in the 3^rd minute of action by Cayla Jackson of Illinois was the deciding factor between the two sides. 

Amina Marin and Camryn Ries both recorded a shot, with Marin placing hers on frame. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Flames dropped their non-conference contest against Eastern Washington on Thursday, 1-0, with the Eagles scoring the deciding goal in the 48^th minute. 

UIC outshot Eastern Washington 15-13, with seven shots on goal compared to six. 

Emmy Higgins, Camryn Ries, and Delaney Engel all recorded three shots, with Higgins and Ries placing one shot on goal. Bella Lister recorded five saves.

Illinois enters the contest coming off a 2-1 victory over Cincinnati on Thursday. Cayla Jackson scored in the 54^th minute to tie the game, while Hedda Ornberg scored the game-winner in the 86^th. Alyssa White, Ashlyn Adams, and Jackson all recorded an assist.
