CHICAGO (Nov. 18, 2023) – The UIC volleyball team had three student-athletes earn All-Missouri Valley Conference honors, including two selected to the All-MVC First Team, the conference announced Saturday on the eve of the 2023 MVC Volleyball Championship.

FIRST TEAM ALL MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE

Martina Delucchi (La Plata, Argentina/San Cayetano)
The senior outside hitter jumped up to first-team all-conference honors after being selected to the All-MVC Second Team last season. In 100 sets this season, Delucchi has collected 390 kills and averaged 3.90 kills per set, third highest in the conference. She has collected double-digit kills in 21 matches, including four 20+ kill matches this season.

Zahria Woodard (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest)
The two-time MVC Defensive Player of the Week has been a pillar at the net for the Flames, ranking second in The Valley in blocks per set (1.44) this season. With 158 total blocks this season, Woodard is nearing the UIC single season blocks record set by Ambria Springer (160 in 2006). Not one to shy away on the attack either, Woodard has tallied 230 kills, the best offensive showing of her collegiate career.

SECOND TEAM ALL MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE

Becca Oldendorf (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township)
Leading the MVC in hitting percentage (.423), Oldendorf has been a model of consistency for the Flames this season. In 106 sets played, the senior has 226 kills, including 10 matches with double-digit kills. Oldendorf is also tied with Delucchi with 31 aces this season, including a nine-match streak with at least one ace. Also owning a .370 career hitting percentage, Oldendorf is on pace to break the program's single-season and career hitting percentage records held by 2023 UIC Athletics Hall of Famer Stephenee Yancy.

Third-seeded UIC will face off against either No. 6 seed Illinois State and No. 7 seed (and tournament host) Missouri State in the MVC Championship quarterfinals at 6 p.m. (CT) Nov. 20 at the Hammons Student Center in Springfield, Mo., live on ESPN+.
