CHICAGO – The UIC softball team (12-14-1, 2-4 MVC) is set for its home opener against Missouri Valley Conference opponent Drake (6-16, 0-3 MVC) in a three-game series from March 20-21. First pitch will take place at 2:30 p.m. CT on Friday.

INDIANA STATE SERIES RECAP
 
The Flames played a three game series against conference opponent Indiana State last weekend, going 1-2. UIC won by run-rule in the opening game 14-2, its largest MVC win in program history, before dropping the next two games 9-1 and 9-2. In the win, Larissa Ortiz and Grace Taylor both homered and drove in three runs.
