Tiana Jackson Among Those Selected For the 2023 Winter State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award

Jackson among the 12 winners announced by the Missouri Valley Conference for the 2022-2023 Winter season.

CHICAGO – Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced 12 winners of their State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award Tuesday afternoon. Among the winners was UIC women's basketball player Tiana Jackson.

To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport during the season of recognition
.
Jackson has been apart of the deans list for four semesters, four-time member of the Horizon League honor roll and was recently named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team-Honorable Mention.
She has served as a member of the Chancellor's athletic advisory committee and the Student Fee advisory committee. Jackson also holds the role of President for UIC SAAC.

Tiana has been involved in numerous community services opportunities, including Elementary School read aloud, Be the Match, Pilsen Food Pantry, Special Olympics kickball tournament, Youth basketball clinic, UCAN Chicago dodgeball tournament, UCAN Chicago Clean Up and the Juneteenth Parade.

Jackson, who just completed her fourth and final season with the Flames started in 21 games. She averaged 3.8 points and helped the Flames to their third playoff appearance in program history.
